- What is the item: The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution is a water-based exfoliating serum formulated to target blemish-prone skin and clear pore congestion.
-
Benefits:
- Deep Pore Cleansing: As a BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), it is oil-soluble, allowing it to penetrate deep into pores to dissolve debris and excess sebum.
- Blemish Control: Helps reduce the appearance of active breakouts and prevents new pimples and blackheads from forming.
- Texture Smoothing: Gently exfoliates the skin surface to improve overall smoothness and clarity.
- Reduces Redness: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, it helps calm the irritation often associated with acne.
-
Who and how to use this product:
- Who: Ideal for those with oily, combination, and acne-prone skin. Not recommended for those with very dry, sensitive, or peeling skin.
- How: Apply a small dot directly to spots for visible improvement, or apply a small amount over the entire face to maintain visible clarity with continued use. Use in the morning and/or evening after cleansing and before heavier creams.
- Sun Alert: This product contains a BHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun; always use SPF during the day.
-
Ingredients (Key ingredient + rest):
- Key Ingredient: 2% Salicylic Acid, the clinical standard for acne and pore treatment.
- Rest of Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Saccharide Isomerate (hydrator), Cocamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, and Sodium Citrate.
-
What best combine with:
- For Oil Control: Pair with Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to manage shine and congestion simultaneously.
- For Hydration: Follow with Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 to ensure the skin doesn't become over-dried by the acid.
- Avoid: Do not use in the same routine as the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, other strong direct acids, Retinoids, or Copper Peptides.
